Workshops 2026-2027

(1) Quilting with Rulers - Saturday, November 14, 2026

Quilting with rulers is a technique done with the machine's feed dogs dropped and using thick acrylic templates to guide the machine foot for perfect geometric shapes and straight lines.

During this workshop, Tara Starzomski will share information about some of the different types of rulers on the market, what they are for, and when to use them. She will also discuss some of the many designs that can be done with rulers accompanied by quilted examples. We will set up the machines for ruler quilting and warm up on a practice sandwich. Then we will move on to the project where we will quilt 16 different versatile designs that can be used in blocks or backgrounds using only a straight ruler.
