Quilts for Survivors
Each September, the guild hosts a sew day to make quilt tops for Quilts for Survivors, a charitable organization that provides quilts to Residential School survivors across the country. Everyone brings their machines and a variety of fabric supplies, and we all work together to make as many National Day of Truth and Reconciliation-friendly quilt tops as we can over the course of the day. The tops then go on to get long-armed and finished, and we donate them to Quilts for Survivors.
