September's Block and Colours

Here are my own blocks.  I hope you have fun making yours!

Remember these rules?

1. You can add other colours to the blocks, as long as the colour prompts are used as well.
2. Use as much or as little of the colour prompts as you like.
3. Use the best match from your stash, no pressure to use the exact Kona fabric or colours.

Want to use as little Burgundy as possible?  Your Googling skills are probably better than mine, but here are some ideas.

But now, where do you begin with some modern inspiration?  A small hint at upcoming block prompts is that THIS is THE month to take those "bars", split them up, twist them around, use improv if you want...and make TEXT from them!

Bars Block Quick Instructions

1. Choose 3 fabrics and cut 3 strips as per the chart.
2. Sew together with a 1/4" seam.
3. As an option, cut the lengths of strips a little longer and you can square off the block once the strips are sewn together.
