January's Block and Colours
I remember my grandmother having melamine dishes in ALL of the pastel colours and disliking the "brown" ones.
What other colours come to mind when you think of the 50's?
I couldn't resist adding "food" fabric to my block with all the talk about kitchens and dishes 🍽🍹🍧😋.
***Due to virtual meetings Jan-Mar, to arrange fabric pickup, contact Sam at VicePresidentOMQG@gmail.com.
Remember these rules?
- You can add other colours to the blocks, as long as the colour prompts are used as well.
- Use as much or as little of the colour prompts as you like.
- Use the best match from your stash, no pressure to use the exact Kona fabric or colours.
Square in a Square Block Instructions
Quilting Jetgirl on making 23 (!!!) different sizes of Square in a Square blocks. (She even made a Friendship Star "the month before" just like we did!)
Why Not Sew on making a 6.5 in Square in a Square in a Square block.
Teresa Downunder shows how to make a Square in a Square 4 different ways. (This includes "no fear" (my words, not Teresa's) English paper piecing and foundation paper piecing for those who haven't tried these methods before.)
