A "President's Challenge" for our May 28th Meeting

April gave a fabulous talk on "green" sewing at our last meeting - shopping organic, re-using or upcycling textiles, Sherri Lynn Wood's Afterlife series and Pocket Quilts, and the amazing work of Gee's Bend.

With that, a challenge was set!  Take another textile from your home, repurpose it into something new and bring that to our May 28th meeting. Maybe you've got some old curtains, sheets, bits of scraps, selvages, tshirts, or sweaters (it's so endless!!) that could be remade into something new and wonderful.

Here's just one set of ideas from OrganicAuthority.com to help get the ball rolling.

Good luck, have fun and be sure to tag us with your creations using #ottmqg!
