April BOM - Scrap Bin Geese

Who has too many scraps? This girl right here. So for April I've chosen a block that uses up some of those smaller scraps in your stash.

The April BOM is called Scrap Bin Geese and the tutorial is by Andy from A Bright Corner.

The colour palette for this block is similar to the example shown below. Low volumes for one side, high volumes for the other side and choose a colour for the center geese. Turquoise being my favourite colour, I have TONS of turquoise scraps, so I've used some of them up in the center of this block. Having the two sides the same will ensure that all of our blocks are still consistent and harmonious while showcasing the center colours.  Looking forward to seeing everyone's blocks in April!

March BOM - Drunkard's Path

Firstly, a HUGE thank you to our very own Stacey Lee O'Malley for her wonderful presentation on sewing curves. For some quilters, curves can be intimidating, and Stacey's tips and techniques showed just how easy sewing curves can be!

And because we want you to practice what Stacey presented, the BOM for our March meeting is a Drunkard's Path!

Sew up a Drunkard's Path block that finishes at 12" (12.5" with seam allowances) in a low volume and a bright colour. For a little refresher, Stacey's presentation is here, or you can use an existing template or get creative and improv it!
Looking forward to seeing everyone's blocks!
