Tonight's Meeting...

Is going to be exciting, folks! Of course, we'll have our Show and Tell -- such modern inspiration -- can't wait!

For our break outs, we're talking Modern Colour Theory and Flickr. How do you choose colours and prints so that your fabrics don't just stay on your shelves looking pretty? Okay, who are we kidding, some of your fabrics will still stay on your shelves looking pretty, but you won't fear using them anymore!

An yes, we are going to attempt, for the first time ever in our 2 month history, to have a live Internet feed and see if we can provide a tutorial on Flickr. Will the technology gods look favourably upon us tonight? Will it work?

Come and find out!

7:30 p.m. at the Ottawa Citizen Building!

Ready. Set. Mark Your Calendars! Prelimary Submission Deadline Announced...

We hope you've been brainstorming and putting thread to needle rather than sitting on pins and needles.  The date you've all been wondering about has been finalized...Preliminary quilt show submissions are due at noon on December 15th.  We'll be accepting these submissions digitally and we'll announce where to send them to at our November meeting.

Finalists will need to bring their work to the December 30th meeting or arrange for alternate drop off.

In case you missed it, here are the guidelines:

- quilts must fall into the realm of the modern quilting aesthetic
- each quilt must not exceed a perimeter of 200”
- each quilt must include a sleeve for hanging purposes
- quilters must supply any specialized hanging materials or hardware if required

Good luck to all!
